All 3 organizations run on a shoe string - providing events, preserving history and adding to the community of Beaverdam. This annual fundraiser is a great way to have fun and support those that make Beaverdam so special. Donate here from July 4th until October 13th or directly to one of the candidates. Come out to their events, plan on going to Heritage Days October 13th.

“ My name is Michael Anderson a lot of my friends call me “Mike” I am 34 years old and a resident of Beaverdam Virginia ever since I was six years old. I am a avid gamer geek in which I love to play video games and also I am also a Christian who loves serving in my church and my community spreading the same love that God has shown me throughout my life. I am running for Honorary Mayor of Beaverdam because I would like to represent: One to give back to our loving community because what matters to me is the voices, opinions & spirits of the people in this town. Two, to help people weather in the American & African American community to believe that “We can do it!” & Three to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through this fundraising campaign and have fun!” “The Man for the Dam!”

A little about myself. I’m a west coast transplant. My husband was born and raised in the area. I moved here five years ago from Las Vegas but was a small town farmer girl prior to that. My husband and I own our own business and love to give back as much as possible to our community and anywhere else we can. We are the new Commissioners of the Beaverdam Youth Football League and just love being involved. I would love the opportunity to represent our small town and do something positive for our community.
I was not born and raised in Beaverdam, but it is definitely in my blood. I spent a lot of time as a child in Beaverdam with my grandparents. My husband and I moved here to Beaverdam with our daughter 3 years ago to start Hidden Hill Farm where we make and sell Goat's Milk Soap and other natural products. I am a homeschool mom by day and a nurse by night. I love the sense of community that Beaverdam provides and I'm so proud to be a part of it. My grandmother, Carole Umbel, started the Honorary Mayor of Beaverdam campaign and I would love to carry on the family tradition!
