Sean Szefler is fairly new to the area having only lived here for 2.5 years but already calls it home.
He loves working his homestead with his wife of 20 years and 2 sons who are becoming more and more country every day.
He's been an active member of the American Legion post 90 for over 2 years now and is looking forward to serving the community and bringing the Mayorship back to where it belongs ;) Representing American Legion Post 90
All 4 organizations run on a shoe string - providing events, preserving history and adding to the community of Beaverdam. This annual fundraiser is a great way to have fun and support those that make Beaverdam so special. Donate here from July 4th until October 10th or directly to one of the candidates. Come out to their events, plan on going to Heritage Days October 10th.

Kevin "Hatchet" Larson
I'm Kevin Larkin also known as Hatchet, I'm 55 yrs.old, I grew up in Beaverdam until I was about 20 years old. I moved away for awhile but now I’m back to the place I consider home. I am a Boeing employee and work in Springfield VA, a commute huh? l enjoy hunting and fishing and just the great outdoors especially in Da Dam. I am president and founder of an organization I started called Hounds4RHeroes in which we run hounds in competition hunts to raise money for our disabled veterans or just veterans who could use our help, I was never in the service but thought of a way I could help and give back. I have a bunch of friends in the Dam that got involved and we have raised some nice funds for our Vets. I work shift work so can't be in my so called Mayberry as much as I would like but when I’m there I LOVE TO "DO DA DAM" as much as possible. Looking forward to having fun raising money for the Honorary Mayor of Beaverdam and all in which it stands for. LET'S DO DA DAM RIGHT

Representing the Beaverdam Ruritan Club this year, please welcome our 3rd candidate for Honorary Mayor, Amanda Rutherford!
"My name is Amanda Rutherford and I’ve been a Beaverdam resident for almost 8yrs now. I love partaking in community events and try to support the community every chance given. My husband and I are currently the commissioners of the Beaverdam Youth League football teams. I am a small business owner and when I’m not working I enjoy hanging with animals, gardening and helping friends and family. I ran for mayor two years ago and unfortunately didn’t win but was happy to have raised money to help our non profits in the community. I look forward to another chance and hopefully sealing the deal this year!"
